Expertise with a Vision. Leadership with a Heart.
I founded ROI Nonprofit Finance & Accounting Advisory because I saw a gap in the sector: mission-driven organizations doing world-changing work were being held back by financial systems that couldn't keep up. I’m here to bridge that gap. I’m here to help you usher in the next emanation of your social impact.
The Meaning Behind the Name
In the finance world, ROI stands for Return on Investment. It’s the metric of success. But to me, it carries a deeper promise. It stems from the name El Roi—The God Who Sees Me.
Too often in the nonprofit world, leaders feel unseen in their struggle with complex audits, shifting regulations, and staffing gaps. My mission is to ensure that your organization, your challenges, and your vision are fully seen and expertly supported.
20+ Years of Navigating Complexity
I don't just advise from the sidelines; I lead from the trenches. My background spans the full spectrum of financial management, including:"
Regulatory Mastery: Deep expertise in FASB, GASB, and 2 CFR 200 compliance.
Crisis Recovery: A proven track record of stabilizing distressed organizations and cleaning up multi-year "behind" books.
Systems Architect: Leading complex ERP implementations (Sage Intacct, MIP, Blackbaud) to modernize legacy operations.
Strategic CFO: Serving as a fractional executive for organizations navigating leadership transitions or rapid growth.

The "Why" Behind the Work
My commitment to financial stewardship isn't just professional; it’s personal. Growing up in South Georgia, I witnessed the profound impact of systemic scarcity and the heavy burden placed on mission-driven leaders who lack the resources they need to thrive. I spent my early years navigating the challenges of food insecurity—an experience that gave me a deep reverence for the dignity of every individual and the critical importance of the organizations that serve them.
Bridging the Gap Between Mission and Money
I transitioned from "surviving" to "stewarding" by focusing on my passion for math, economics, and forensic accounting. Today, I use that 20+ year background to ensure your organization’s well-being is never left to chance. Whether I am reducing close cycles from months to days or recovering millions in outstanding receivables, my goal is to turn your finance department into a strategic driver for social impact.
Beyond the Ledger
When I am not leading financial transformations, I am a mentor, a volunteer for special needs youth, and a student of theology. I believe that when humanity sees through a lens of "human to human," we can dismantle the systemic barriers that hold our communities back.
“When you work with ROI, you aren't just hiring a consultant. You are gaining a transformational team who treats your mission with the same reverence you do. We are committed to clarity, integrity, and the long-term health of your organization.”
